Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 5th, 2025
At bookmrks.io, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe - because we believe your discoveries are yours, and yours alone (unless you want to share them, of course).
Information We Collect
1. Account Information
We collect your email and username when you sign up to create your account, sync your bookmarks, and (if you choose) share them with others.
2. Bookmarks & Tags
We store the URLs, titles, descriptions, and tags you save so you can easily organize and retrieve them later.
3. Browser Extension Data
Our Chrome and Safari extensions access the active tab’s URL and title - but only when you click the extension. Preferences are stored locally in your browser. We do not track your browsing history or access tabs in the background.
